NounsBR

We are an extension of Nouns DAO, which seeks to introduce Nouns in the various cultural manifestations that give identity and tell the history of our country. NounsBR is also a more accessible gateway for native Portuguese speakers to participate in the Nouns ecosystem.

What is a DAO?

A DAO (or Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a community-led entity with no central authority figure. The ability to work in this manner arises from the technology of smart contracts, which set the ground rules for how the organization is built. Proposals, votes, and even the code can be publicly audited

Making Brazil more nounish

Our mission is to spread the Nouns brand in Brazil and to efficiently guide and support Portuguese-native builders in developing projects that are cool, do good and change lives (aka are nounish), while adding value to Nouns.

What are Nouns?

Nouns are on-chain CC0 artwork randomly generated based on Ethereum block hashes. The traits are determined by different backgrounds, bodies, accessories, heads, and glasses. A Noun is created each day and auctioned. The community controls auction profits and each Noun entitles you to one vote in the NounsDAO.

Based on Nouns open source and public domain artwork, NounsBR are stored fully on-chain with no external dependencies. Each NounsBR NFT entitles you to one vote on the DAO. Each NounsBR NFT entitles you to vote in the DAO. When buying via auction, you automatically become a member of the DAO and will be able to vote on proposals.
